How It Works

When you tap ‘search’ in the app, you’ll see a waveform icon indicating that you can find the name of a song by singing, humming, or playing it. This feature goes beyond Shazam’s capabilities as it allows users to find songs by humming or singing them, whereas Shazam only works if you play the actual song.

Availability Across iOS and Android

The song detection tool, which was first made available to select Android YouTube Music users earlier this year, is now rolling out to all users across iOS and Android. This expansion ensures that users on both platforms can benefit from this innovative feature.
